Western's commitment to accessibility

The University of Western Ontario is committed to achieving barrier free accessibility for persons with disabilities studying, visiting and working at Western. As part of this commitment, there are a variety of services, groups and committees on campus devoted to promoting accessibility and to ensuring that individuals have equitable access to services and facilities.

Feedback about accessibility at Western is welcomed. Please direct your comments or questions to Accessibility at Western.

Western Alumni's commitment to accessibility

In addition to Western's accessibility plan, Western Alumni is committed to the following:

Assistive Devices
Accommodation will be made for assistive devices (scooters, walkers, canes, hearing amplifiers, etc.) on campus and where possible at alternate venues.

Service Animals
Service animals will be welcomed at event locations except where prohibited by law. If prohibited, this will be communicated in the invitation.

Service Disruptions
The Western Service Disruption web page will be used for changes or cancellations to events taking place both on and off campus.

Support Persons
Support persons are welcome at all events. If the support person is incurring an expense, (i.e. meal, theatre seat, etc.) they will be charged a fee at the discretion of the event manager when registering for the event.
