Bonnie Brooks, MBA, has built high-end retail names across the world. As Vice Chairman and Advisor of Hudson's Bay Company since June 2013, she divides her time between The Bay's Toronto headquarters and Lord & Taylor's New York headquarters. Prior to this position, she was the President of Hudson's Bay Company from January 2012 to June 2013 and served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of The Bay of Hudson's Bay Company from September 2008 to 2012.

Prior to joining The Bay in 2008, she spearheaded the turnaround and revitalization of another iconic retailer, Asia’s Lane Crawford. She served as the President of Lane Crawford Joyce Group from 2002 to 2008 and she brought many of the world’s leading brands into Greater China and Southeast Asia. She was responsible for all divisions of the company, including Lane Crawford, Joyce Boutiques, Pedder Group, and founded the LCJG Distribution Company, opening hundreds of stores in 9 Asian countries. She was based in Hong Kong from 1997 to 2008.

Before her move to Lane Crawford Joyce Group, Ms. Brooks served as Executive Vice President, General Merchandise Manager and Senior Vice President of Marketing for Holt Renfrew where she was responsible for strategic planning, marketing, merchandise buying and designer brand acquisition.

Previously, she was Editor-in-Chief of Flare, Canada’s largest and most important fashion and lifestyle magazine. Ms. Brooks served as the Group General Manager, Merchandising (Global) for Dickson Concepts (International) Ltd. Hong Kong, including Harvey Nichols in the UK. She served as President of Kert Advertising, Canada and President of Town and Country Stores, Canada.

Today, she is a Director of Sobeys Inc. and has been a Director of Empire Company Limited since 2012. She served as a Director of Indigo Books & Music Inc. since May 23, 2009. She serves as a Trustee of Riocan Real Estate Investment Trust. She was appointed by the Premier of Ontario to the Royal Ontario Museum Board of Trustees in 2010. In 2012, Ms. Brooks became a member of the Jobs and Prosperity Council appointed by Dalton McGuinty, the Premier of Ontario.

Since joining the Hudson's Bay Company, Ms. Brooks has collectively raised more than $17 million for charitable organizations, including the Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Olympic Foundation, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. She was honoured in New York in December 2011 by the Volunteers of America.

She has been recognized as one the Top 25 Retailers worldwide by Monocle Magazine and was named by Fast Company as one of the world's 100 Most Creative People in Business. In 2011, she was recognized by the Women's Executive Network as one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women. Ms. Brooks holds an MBA having graduated from the Executive MBA program at the Ivey Business School at Western. In 2014, Ms. Brooks was selected as Business Leader of the Year by the Ivey Business School at Western.
