His teaching and research interests involve the social and legal history of business as well as business/government relations (mostly Canadian). He has taught in the history of Europe and North America, including his much-appreciated The Business of Wine. Professor Forster is a highly-rated lecturer on Western Alumni’s educational travel programme.
